  • Athanasios Liagkos

    He is currently the Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors of Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA) S.A. He has served as Deputy Chairman, D. Chief Executive Officer and member of the BoD of Piraeus Port Authority (PPA) S.A.

    He was member of the Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund as a coordinator of the National Strategic Plan for Ports and Marinas and he served as a BoD member in all Port Authorities in Greece.

    Also, served as Chief Executive in banks, financial institutions and large enterprises in Greece and abroad, as well as member of the Board of Directors in company groups.

    He has as extensive expertise in the fields of corporate strategic analysis and corporate governance.  He studied economics at the University of Athens and holds an MBA postgraduate degree.

    He is member of the Economic Chamber of Greece and the Association of Chief Executive Officers (EASE).

  • Laurent Martens

    He has held Executive positions in the Port industry for the last 20 years.

    He has held before CMA during 12 years various positions as COO and CEO in 3 French Port Authorities.

    He currently holds the position of Central Terminal Director (CMAT and Terminal Link) at CMA CGM and over the last 7,5 years he has served as CMA CGM Group Terminal Director, Vice President and Deputy CEO CMA Terminals Holding and Vice President and Deputy CEO of Terminal Link.

  • Artur Davidian

    Mr. Artur Davidian is the Chief Investment Officer & Executive Member of the BoD of Thessaloniki Port Authority SA (ThPA). He has bachelor’s degree and Ph.D. in Finance from Rostov State Economy University and, MBA from University of Oxford. He has over 20 years’ managerial experience, and significant expertise in corporate management & development, investments and international operation. He has undertaken his current position since September, 2018. He is really committed to obtaining an integrated approach and transnational perspective for ThPA S.A., through the implementation of a specialized Investment Program, and also to the enhancement of the Port as the main Gateway Port of Southeastern Europe.

  • Fu Baiqiao (Leon)

    Mr. Baiqiao (Leon) Fu was expatriated by China Merchants Port Group as Financial Controller in Terminal Link, holds a master’s degree, and has 10 years’ experience of specializing in financial management, consolidation reporting, financial modeling & analysis. Previously worked for the Headquarter of China Merchants Port Group in Shenzhen of China and Colombo International Container Terminal in Colombo of Sri Lanka.

  • Angelos Vlachos

    Dr. Angelos F. Vlachos (born 1970) is a public policy expert focusing on sustainable development, also with a heavy academic background; BA and PhD / University of Athens; MA University of Sussex@UK.

    His experience lies at multi-levels, initially with a wide-ranging research performance and at a later stage on numerous strategic ventures related to the tourism phenomenon and its policies.

    Throughout the last decade he has concentrated multifariously on infrastructures’ management (actually, public property assets), and above all “blue growth” projects. Coped with several matters at the edge (between corporate and government), he has shaped a hybrid professional identity - combining solid business knowledge with soft skills.

    He started his career at 1996 as a Researcher (later Team Head) at the Foundation of the Hellenic World (FHW). In this context, he supervised the Foundation’s activities (for the 20th c. period) related to a Mega-Project-dealing with Greek Culture at the Web, also coordinating various innovative digital enterprises (until 2001).

    Later on, as a Consultant for Starwood Hotels, he wrote a business history study about the most acclaimed tourism enterprise in modern Greece, [“Grande Bretagne – A Hotel Symbol”, Athens, (1st ed., Kerkyra Pub. 2003) gr & eng].

    His research activities concern the history of organized travel, tourism policy, sustainable development and facets of 20th c. social and economic history. He has published extensively in academic journals, collective essays, also participating in various academic conferences.

    A. Vlachos has taught (among others) at the Univ. of Peloponnese and at Panteion University (on a graduate or a post-graduate level), and at the Tourism Dept of the University of Piraeus (2017-2020); currently he is lecturing part-time at the Hellenic Open University.

    His last book “Tourism Development and Public Policies in Modern Greece", (Athens: Economia Pub, 2016), highlights the State's vigorous role in the emergence of Τourism as a cardinal political-economic venture in 20th c. Greece [to be translated in English soon].

    After 2004, A. Vlachos moved in the international tourism industry; hired -among others- as business developer to South Mediterranean Area by a web-based tour operator (Global Travel Group). From 2007 and on, he served in the [Greek] Ministry of Tourism as Senior Policy Consultant focusing on various matters:

    national marketing strategy, tourism & cultural interconnection, stakeholders’ issues, international relations with World Tourism Organization (WTO), tourism satellite accounts, and later> as Chief of Office for Parliamentary Affairs.

    During 2010, he was assigned Director of the Greek National Tourism Organization Offices in China (Beijing/Shanghai), been also a member of the Greek Embassy charged with the mission to penetrate into the Chinese Tourism Market; under this capacity, he inaugurated the first official marketing plan for attracting Chinese tourists to Greece.

    Following his return in Greece, he was named Liaison Officer for the Greek-Chinese Tourism and Development Committee, aiming to strengthen the tourism ties and also enhance further air-travel connection between the two countries.

    Between 2012-2013, he operated as independent expert in tourism policy issues (on behalf of Municipalities and private firms), while also assigned by a cruise company operating at Mediterranean for setting up its edu-tainment strategy.

    At 2014, he initiated a European co-funded research scheme (P-P Project) focusing on urban geography; right after, he coordinated an extended academic team setting up the Sustainable Tourism Observatory, a Project aiming to boost effectively sustainability at Southern Aegean under the auspices of the respective Region. Meanwhile, he acted as a director of a television production (ET1) related to present-day iconic figures and their routes. 

    For 6 ½ years and until June 2021 he has served consecutively as a non-executive Member of Directors of Hellenic Republic Asset Development Fund (BoD of HRADF). The Greek Privatization Fund’s core business by and large is linked to concessions and development schemes/modes regarding the country’s -tangible and intangible- public assets (real estate, airports, roads, ports, marinas, energy, et. al.), hence to this role he participated accordingly.

    Moreover, A. Vlachos has contributed to the legislative framework along with the licensing process of the Seaplanes Project on behalf of the Fund; essentially, the formation of the fifth transportation axis nationwide.

    Since 2015 he represents the Greek Public/HRADF as a BoD member at the -privatized- Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA), as a Fund Manager charged with the Concession Agreement’s implementation and also participating at the Audit Committee of the listed company.

    Last but not least, following a Ministerial Decision (2019), he has been assigned as a member of Tourism Observatory, an established top-level Experts Committee with an advising capacity to the Ministry of Tourism.

  • Panagiotis Michalopoulos

    Mr. Panagiotis Michalopoulos is an Architect Engineer, member of the Technical Chamber of Greece since 1984. Graduate of the School of Architecture of the Faculty of Engineering of Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. PhD candidate in the Department of Geography and Regional Planning of the School of Rural & Surveying Engineering of the National Technical University Athens and holder of the Certificate for the 2018 C-Blue Training Program of CMPort and Shanghai Maritime University. He has been working since 1984 as a freelancer, designer, and supervising engineer with more than thirty-five years of experience in design, study, supervision, and construction of buildings, in the functional design of spaces and organization of construction sites. His business activity includes the establishment and operation for thirteen years as a partner and manager of the publishing-advertising-construction company Eurodiastasi Ltd. He has served in organizations in senior management positions. In the period 2005-2011, as an architect in the Prefect’s Office and responsible for the design and operation of the Cultural Center "Polychoros Apollon" of the Prefecture of Piraeus. He served as Deputy Commander and Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Special Anticancer Hospital "METAXA" in Piraeus from 17/10/2011 to 27/12/2013. From 2008 to 2010, as a representative of SADAS-PEA he participated as a Regular Member in the Town Planning and Architectural Control Committee of Piraeus Town Planning. From 2005 to 2010 he participated in the supporting work for the Administrative and Educational Staff members at the Department of Geography and Regional Planning of the School of Rural & Surveying Engineering of National Technical University of Athens. From 23/03/2018 until today he participates as an independent member and Chairman of the Audit Committee in the Board of Directors of the Thessaloniki Port Authority (ThPA) S.A.. He has written and participated as a leader of editing, writing, designing, and publishing more than eighteen books on European Travelers and Greek culture, with an emphasis on architecture and the ports of Mediterranean, which have been deposited in Bibliotheca Alexandrina (International Library of Alexandria). His work has received international recognition and he has been honored for his contribution by numerous agencies.  From 1984 he is a member of Technical Chamber of Greece (TEE) and of Greek Architects Association (SADAS-PEA). He also participated as a member in associations, cultural institutions, and Chambers of Commerce.

  • Angeliki Samara

    Angeliki Samara is an Assistant Professor in Accounting at the Department of Accounting and Finance, School of Business Administration, University of Macedonia. She obtained her BSc in Economics from Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, pursued her MSc degree in Applied Economics and Finance with academic direction in Applied Accounting and Auditing from the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and a PhD in Accounting from the University of Surrey, UK. She also holds a professional qualification in Audit from the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL).

    She has extensive experience in accounting field and in the oversight of financial reporting and audit. She is a member of the Quality Control Board (QCB) of the Hellenic Accounting and Auditing Oversight Board (HAASOB) and of the Quality Control Committee (QCC) of SOEL. She has been an expert in EU twinning program on audit and accounting standards and corporate governance and a member of the team in the General Accounting Office (Ministry of Finance) for the preparation of the new Chart of Accounts for the Greek General Government. She is also the President of the Examinations Committee of the Institute of Certified Public Accountants of Greece (SOEL) for the conduction of the professional exams, a member of the Committee for Research Ethics of the University of Macedonia and member of several other committees in the university.

    She participates in national and international conferences of the accounting and audit field. Her research interests include Financial Reporting, International Financial Reporting Standards, Accounting, Auditing and Audit Committees. Her work has been presented in various academic conferences and has been published in peer reviewed academic journals.

  • Eirini Chadiari

    C-level executive working in logistics with 25 years of experience in supply chain management.

    One of the first women in Greece to have studied and worked in the supply chain sector in positions of high responsibility.

    With extensive experience and knowledge in project management and strategic business planning.

    She is a graduate of the University of Athens and holds a Master's Degree in International Transport and Trade.

    She is married and mother of a daughter.

    She has been member and has served as Vice President of EEL since 1998.

    She is also member of ICC Women and volunteer in charitable associations.
